Vigor Hotel

If you’re in Novi Sad on business, this hotel is really convenient. I’d highly recommend it.

I found it reasonable value, but I wouldn’t return. There’s nothing charming about the place, including the management and owner. The breakfast was terrible, the parking lot was very cramped, and the location isn’t really within walking distance of the Old Town or riverfront. There’s a small convenience store next door. I can confirm from my own stay that some rooms have a very noticeable bad smell and equipment noise, as other reviews mention. The manager or owner may respond that they have no record of my stay in their 12+ years at the hotel. I have my Visa receipts, so there should be a record somewhere. I stayed during the second summer of the Pandemic.

The people working there were friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend the place or come back. The location was okay, and the layout was nice, yet the property needs renovation, especially the bed covers. The carpet had lots of stains and looked rusty. The sheets were okay, but the heavy cotton cover seemed about 20 years old. I got a few itchy pimples on my legs, and my kid had some on their arms. It might have been allergies or bugs, I can’t say. The room barely deserved a 2, and the washroom was better. I didn’t even check breakfast because the cleanliness didn’t feel reassuring. I don’t understand the five-star reviews; at best, I’d give it a 3.

The rooms are on the small side, but very clean and well equipped. Breakfast had a decent selection and the food was delicious. Staff were polite and helpful, and there’s free parking in the hotel’s backyard. It’s a great hotel not far from the city center. I recommend it.
