Guest House Vila Lujza

Our room had plenty of space, and the bathroom was roomy and clean too. We could see the lake from the balcony. The building has a lovely vintage feel, and the bed-and-breakfast stay wasn’t too expensive.

We booked a king-size bed, but got two beds that were only 180 centimeters long. I barely slept the first night, and since there was no other room the next night, we made do with an extra bed. The hygiene was awful, with dust everywhere. Breakfast was included, but we hadn’t been told it was served 300 meters from the villa. For that price, it was a very bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re 1.60 meters tall and don’t care about cleanliness. Villa Luisa really disappointed us.

The basement kitchen and dining room are handy if you’d like to cook, and breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant that has a small playground for kids. There’s also ice cream right in front of the villa. I’d go for vanilla and bubble gum. We stayed at VIlla Lujza with our child and had a lovely time. The host welcomed us warmly even though we arrived late, showed us around, and let us choose between two vacant rooms. It was spacious, with comfortable beds, and the host was so friendly that it felt like visiting family. The villa is close to the zoo, about a two-minute walk, with a couple of nice restaurants a few hundred meters away. It’s quiet, and sitting on the balcony in the evening to take in the view was relaxing. The place looks great, the host is terrific, and I’d happily recommend it.

There are restaurants, bars, parks, and the zoo close by, so the location worked really well. Inside, the rooms have an authentic old-fashioned style and were clean, with Wi-Fi, AC, a TV, toiletries, and lovely views. The balcony at the top of the building was a real highlight. The staff were warm and professional, and the overnight stay felt like being at home.
