Vila Borova Wellness & Spa Resort

We had spacious, elegant and comfortable rooms at Villa Borowa, and the food was fresh, delicious and homemade. The staff were friendly, helpful and ready to assist. It’s close to attractions but in a peaceful, charming area. This was my best stay so far, and I’ll definitely return. Thank you! ❤️

The location is great, the breakfast was awesome, and the clean rooms met expectations. My main issues were the small spa, parking, and how things were explained. You have to book the spa in advance, it’s limited to 2h, and even with a booking there may be no space or sunbed. Parking was very hard to find despite paying for it. At check-in, the receptionist said it was included in the booked price, but after we checked out, we were told it wasn’t and had to pay. The hotel needs better organization and more politeness with guests, and should explain everything as it is.

The only part that really worked for me was the exceptionally kind, helpful staff, who clearly tried their best. Sadly, that didn’t make up for the problems, and I won’t return or recommend the hotel. The price felt too high for the quality, especially with plenty of places in Zlatibor offering similar or better stays for less. The hotel looks modern and attractive, with tasteful mountain-style details inside and out, and it’s in a very good spot, just a 3-4 minute walk from the lake on flat ground. But the building is already wearing down despite being new, and the materials seem cheap. The garage is unfinished, dark and dusty, with exposed wiring, and it’s also used for storage. The apartments are laid out well, but their condition is poor. In the bathroom there was visible water damage on the ceiling, cracked plaster, a leaking shower, swollen doors and poorly fixed sanitary fittings. There weren’t even basic towel hooks. In the living room, the LED light diffuser was incomplete and hanging from the ceiling. They advertise a wellness and spa hotel, but that’s misleading. The spa is tiny, with a triangular pool more like a large jacuzzi, little room and too few loungers. It doesn’t justify the higher price.

The apartment had everything we needed, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and toilet. It was beautifully designed and new, and just a few minutes’ walk from the center. Breakfast was standard but good. I liked the stay overall, though there’s room to improve. The room was dusty all over, and a loud machine-like noise in the bedroom kept disturbing my sleep all night. A staff woman also unlocked the room and walked in during the middle of the day, outside cleaning hours, which left me uncomfortable.
