After my transfer flight from Kigali was cancelled, I visited on 31st July 2025. The staff were patient and friendly, and the experience was totally amazing. A good spot.

The room was the biggest letdown. It badly needs refurbishing: there was no water at the basin, and when I turned it on, water leaked everywhere. The shower leaked too, the bathroom lights flickered, the old style hairdryer kept cutting out, and the aircon rattled. There was a kettle but no tea, coffee or cups. The hotel needs updating. On the better side, it was quiet, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Dennis was especially attentive at breakfast, and the buffet was decent. Dinner tasted good, but service was painfully slow even though we were the only diners and had pre-ordered when we checked in.

Galaxy Hotel is centrally located, so getting around Kigali and reaching key attractions was convenient. The hotel has a welcoming feel and modern look. Staff were courteous and accommodating throughout, from check-in to dining, and helped make the stay smooth. I found the rooms clean and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities, and the gym and pool were well maintained. There was a good mix of local and international dishes, with options to suit different tastes. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, making it a solid option for a visit to Kigali, whether for work or leisure.

The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet, and I’d gladly come back. Chef Dennis accommodated my special food requests, while Sylvester and Bella were quick with the service. Highly recommended.
