Martin Aviator Hotel

I'd give this place zero stars if that were an option. I accidentally paid too much on the bill, and they acknowledged it and said they'd refund me through momo shortly, a process they said would take two minutes. Now the manager isn't answering my calls, and the other staff keep saying he has to sort it out.

The rooms are okay, but you don't even get mosquito nets despite paying $50 or more, which is a steep rate even for Kigali. The location is handy when you've just arrived in Kigali or need to catch a flight, though that convenience doesn't really make the high prices worthwhile.

I had a large, very clean room with a private bathroom and mosquito nets, and the WiFi worked. Breakfast was good, and they let me customize it. They picked me up from the airport at 2:00 am, and receptionist Bruno was friendly and professional. A great fit for someone traveling alone.

It's decent and clean, and handy if you need to stay near the airport. The public restaurant and bar got pretty loud while we were there, so keep expectations modest. There was a WiFi problem when we arrived, though they eventually fixed it. We had two guests but only one towel, the water wasn't hot, and the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied before we checked in.
