Nziza View Hotel

My stay and the service were good, and I felt I got value for the money. The problem is that my card was charged twice for the stay. I reported it and checked on it before leaving, and was reassured more than once that management would sort it out. I still haven't received the reimbursement.

The rooms and food were good, and everyone was very nice. I stayed three nights at Nziza View Hotel, and they arranged an airport pickup for a reasonable price, even though my flight was postponed and then landed late. Great value for money, I'd totally recommend it.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, sharing useful information and tips. They even let me keep my room until 3 pm instead of 11 am. I also used the airport transfer both ways for $15 each way, which I highly recommend. The food was very good, and it was easy to get to the city center, a MotoTaxi cost 1.000 Rwf. There were some small issues. My double room was booked for two, but it had just one bedside table and one bedside power outlet. Hot water took 5-10 minutes to arrive. Staff sometimes seemed to miscommunicate, and on almost every morning around 6 or 7, hotel staff were talking loudly or shouting on the stairs. It's a pretty new hotel with a few flaws. Fix those and it could be one of Kigali's best for the price and quality. If I choose a hotel instead of a private apartment on my next stay in Kigali, I'd definitely pick Nziza View Hotel again. The rooftop restaurant is lovely for relaxing during the day and taking in the amazing city view. My room was perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet enough to sleep really well at night. I could open the balcony door, which had a Moskitonet, and enjoy the fresh air. The place is beautiful, clean, and peaceful, with a very friendly, helpful staff and a nice neighborhood. There's a small typical African market just around the corner, where people are hospitable and friendly. A bus stop, mototaxis, banks, and small supermarkets are close by too, and the area feels safe.
