La Locanda

We only booked dinner, but Alberto made us feel welcome all the same. Even when we arrived about 45 minutes late because my girlfriend's taxi was delayed getting to Musanze, he still fit us in. The food was delicious, and that day's special was wood-fired pizza. There was great live music and the prices felt very reasonable. The Italian-style architecture is beautiful too. Make a reservation even if you aren't staying there. We had a great time and will be back, and my girlfriend is already talking about a girls' trip.

A lovely little Italian-inspired space in Musanze, and a great staycation option if you live in Rwanda. They have pizza and music on Friday nights, open to the public.

The garden and quiet atmosphere made this a special stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a cozy rustic look that suited the peaceful surroundings. I loved waking up to birdsong. The food was excellent, fresh, full of flavor, and made with local ingredients. From the moment I arrived at La Locanda Hotel in Musanze, the staff made me feel at home and did everything they could to make my visit comfortable. Whether you're here for cycling, gorilla trekking, or simply a quiet break, it's a wonderful place to stay.

I haven't stayed overnight, but I've been here for dinner many times. The spinach cannelloni is my husband's favorite, and the pizza is really good too.
