Jubail High Rise Hotel

I was backpacking from Riyadh during the Eid holiday and had a tough time finding a hotel online. When I got to Jubail, I decided to take a chance on OYO after my friend suggested it. The staff were accommodating, but they didn’t speak English well, so I was glad my friend was with me. They offered us a choice of rooms, and ours was clean and affordable.

I’ve just checked in. The Wi-Fi is free, but there’s no signal inside the room. The TV remote was broken, though they replaced it. Let’s see what other surprises turn up.

The apartment is very spacious, and the reception area looks nice, with a coffee corner. It’s also in a very convenient location, close to everything. When I called room service for something, they responded quickly and brought what I needed. There was a loud noise each day during my visit, for about 3 days, and I saw several insects, including small and large cockroaches. The TV is small, the channels look poor, and it sits so high that you can end up with a neck ache. It seems like a good place overall, but it needs more attention and cleaning.

It’s well located, though the old furniture needs replacing now.
