EASTYARD Dammam - Hotel

We were only there briefly, and nobody actually offered us the pool, even though it was just over the wall from our room. You have to ask if you want to use it. There’s a clean-looking cafeteria beside the lobby where you can see the food being prepared, though we didn’t book breakfast. We had two rooms for four people, but they put us on different floors. We later noticed a connecting door between them, but it was locked. Each room is spacious for two people, with one king-sized bed, an iron, plenty of hangers, a kettle, two bottles of water, coffee sticks, sugar, cream, and a microwave. It was clean, but there were no slippers and only one set of towels. They provide rolled paper towels for hygiene, small tubs of shampoo and conditioner, and two soap chips. The room itself was fine if you just need somewhere to sleep, but don’t expect grand service, especially if you’re not local. We didn’t feel they cared about us, apart from the morning cleaner who said “good day” before we left. Maybe locals would get different treatment. The hotel is now called EASTYARD DAMMAM HOTEL. The lobby is luxurious, and the location is handy, with a fast food chain next door, a Spa or skin care clinic parallel to it, and a barber shop downstairs. If you have a car, especially if you’re not local, pay close attention to the signs. There’s a no-parking space in front on the right and a parking area on the left. They also have a lot behind the hotel that they never offered us, maybe because we were non-locals or there was a communication barrier. We asked when we arrived and were told we could park in front without a problem, then woke up with a fine for parking in a no-parking area. That part was understandable, but what felt worse was that we were the only ones charged, even though around four other cars were parked there too. Someone from the hotel said they choose just one person to charge. 🙃

The rooms and AC system both feel a bit old. Room service was good, though, and breakfast was great.

The phone didn’t work for contacting reception, and even when we went down in person, they didn’t bring the things we requested. There was no remote for the AC. In this hot summer, the pool couldn’t be used after evening because it was very dark and had no lights. Not happy with the service. Overall, the worst.

I had an excellent experience overall. The hotel did well on service, location, cleanliness, and facilities ✅️ The receptionist was welcoming, helpful, and professional. I think his name was Nawaf.
