Casablanca Hotel Jeddah

The airline booked us into this hotel because of a flight delay. There was lots of room, with large, comfortable rooms, though the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the pillows weren’t great. The dinner buffet had limited choice, but everything offered was really tasty and made with high quality ingredients. The Greek salad had plenty of feta. The desserts were fantastic, especially the baklava, which I loved even though I don’t usually care for it much.

The Ramadan Iftar at Casablanca Hotel Jeddah was a really disappointing experience for me. Guests were still arriving while the food stations had already run out, and nothing was refilled. The drinks were only water, which was also a letdown. For the high price, the food and service weren’t managed well. I hope management makes sure there’s enough food and beverages for guests during Ramadan and improves the service.

I like this hotel, and I was quite impressed with the service. It was a good visit for me.

Our breakfast was spoiled by how we were asked to move tables. We’d already picked one and put our plates down when a waiter, Ahmad Khaled, told us to move because football team players were expected at the hotel. That was rude and could have been handled with a reserved sign or by telling guests as they came into the restaurant. The players never even showed up. The incident upset us enough that we checked out early.
