The bus ride back from the Haram was a daily ordeal. The minibuses filled up quickly, and people were fighting to get on. We sometimes had to wait for the seventh bus before we could get a place peacefully. Once, a woman attacked my son for boarding after her. He hadn’t pushed her or done anything to her. I confronted her, but she wouldn’t apologize, and the driver did nothing. I complained to the hotel, but the manager didn’t care. The staff member I spoke to kept saying, “I am new so I don’t know what to do, I can’t do anything.” My sons had a really awful experience, and how can my son forget being treated like that? At check-in nobody welcomed us, and the staff couldn’t speak English, so communication was difficult. They also wouldn’t help move our luggage, even though we saw trolleys available. The room was clean, but the sheets and duvets were stained. One bed had only a small cloth, and its sheet didn’t even cover the mattress. There was no room service, and although a kettle and cups were provided, there was no tea or coffee. This is one of the worst hotels ever. It is not a 4-star hotel. How can they take people’s money and provide such poor service? They do not fear Allah. Avoid places like this and spend your money elsewhere.

I came from Pakistan for Umrah and booked from the 15th to the 25th. When I asked to extend my stay, they said they had no more, even though they had other options, but they weren’t good compared with this hotel. They took my money and charged me more even for a day. Treating a Muslim like that is shameful. There were more problems from beginning to end. If you’re thinking of staying here, book somewhere else or you’ll lose out and have a bad experience. Allah knows I’m telling the truth, I fear Allah. Ask someone who’s already stayed here before you decide. Peace.

For the price, it was a nice hotel. There’s a bus to Makkah, though I didn’t try it. Nearby shops include a mini market, and fruit and other things are easy to get. The room was good, but the shower area in the washroom was small.

We paid in full in advance for Abraj Almisk for Dec 18-24, but when we arrived from India they said there were no rooms and moved us to the much lower standard Leema Golden. They said they’d sort it out within 24 hours, then ignored us. We’re here for Umrah, and this has been a nightmare. They took our money and gave us terrible service. Beware of overbooking and switching hotels. Avoid this hotel.

The price was wonderful for a couple, and the site has a shop, restaurant, and pharmacy. The shuttle was good and took 15-20 minutes to M.Haram. I stayed there in January 2024 and will come back this year.
