Abdul Rahim made a big impression on me. He was always smiling, welcoming, and so accommodating. It was my first Umrah, and the hotel’s location was perfect, the room was very large, and the service was excellent. Masha Allah, such a beautiful experience. Thank you for being part of my journey. The lifts were the one thing that worked really well. There are many, and they run quickly and efficiently. Staff generally answered calls promptly and were okay, but they didn’t resolve the problems I called about. I reported the lack of hot water three times. A technician checked once and never came back to fix it, which was frustrating and felt unprofessional and rude. My mattress was so poor and uncomfortable that it caused severe back pain and made it hard to sleep or get up. The room was very dark, with inadequate lighting. The hotel is quite far from the Holy Kaaba, which was inconvenient for pilgrims. It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to go down to the mataf area for tawaf. Reaching the Haram area outside near clock tower takes 8 or 9 minutes if you walk very fast. At best, I’d give this hotel two stars. It’s nowhere near four-star standard, and apart from the lifts I wouldn’t recommend it because of the bad mattress, dark room, no hot water, and maintenance problems that stayed unresolved.

The lobby, iftaar, suhoor, and buffet were good, and the walk to the Kaaba was a reasonable distance. Still, the hotel didn’t feel like four-star accommodation. There were four beds squeezed into my room, leaving no space to pray. The sink was broken, its marble was cracked, the walls were torn, the curtains were old, the chairs were dirty and worn, and the beds had ripped plastic underneath. The Muslim shower leaked, and we also ran out of hot water and had other water problems. They didn’t clean every day, even when we asked. A technician finally came to fix things on the last day, too late to help the overall impression. I understand it was a very busy time. When I asked to move rooms, they said some floors had a bed bug problem and they couldn’t get another room ready quickly enough. I hesitate to leave a negative review in a holy place, and wish blessings for the workers and management, but I want other guests to know what to expect if they’re paying for a four-star stay. I stayed here for more than seven days, and the accommodation fell well short of what I expected from a four-star hotel. In terms of comfort, cleanliness, and quality, it felt more like a two-star place. Cleanliness was a major problem for the whole stay. The walls in my room were visibly dirty, and there were dirty spots in the bathroom too, making it an unpleasant place to spend an extended period.
