The rooms are spacious and comfortable for the distance to the Kaaba, and there’s a stop right outside. It takes about four minutes to reach the Kaaba. As a Turk, though, I didn’t enjoy the food much. Update: I don’t understand why they serve pasta alongside two kinds of rice when they’re all the same. There are always beans and okra. The meat isn’t for us, and it’s extremely fatty. The meals have no taste, and I’m tired of eating salads. I’m not sick because of this. There’s no hot water either, so we have to shower during the day. The capacity is insufficient.

Sumaiya was hospitable, and the reception staff made us feel welcome. Check-in and check-out were quick, and they explained what we needed to know. Requests were handled quickly too, and the stay was good value for money. Hamdullilah, and insha allah I’ll visit again.

I’m staying here for one night now, and like many others, I didn’t trust the photos. What a mistake 😫 I’d give zero stars if I could. The hotel is dated, poorly maintained, and the rooms are old and not very warm. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. When I arrived, I had to point out that the toilet wasn’t clean and there was URINE on the bowl 🤮 Nobody came to clean it. It’s a disgrace. The shower is moldy, so I absolutely don’t want to use it, and there’s hair on the bed linen. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The Haram is about 2 km away, but the free shuttles generally run 24/7 and take around five minutes to reach the entrance to the holy mosque. There are plenty of nearby services, including fast food, mashawi restaurants, and cleaning and pressing services. For a quieter room, try to get one at the back, away from the busy road. The hotel was very clean, the food was good and international, and reception responded quickly. Good value for money.
