I had no iron, even though I was told one would be available. I asked for fresh towels two days in a row and they still weren’t changed. I even left the room so housekeeping could clean, but nothing happened. The next day, a staff member said the receptionist had told them to deal with other rooms instead. When I went to reception to explain, the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. I was speaking calmly, but he said, “So what do you want now from me?” No one took responsibility, apologized, or seemed willing to properly address my concerns. It made for a very frustrating stay. The shuttle was another problem. It’s listed on the website, but there wasn’t any service. When I asked, I was told it only runs during Ramadan, without an apology. Guests shouldn’t be given misleading information about it. The room itself was acceptable for the price, and the basic amenities were okay. The service overall, though, was extremely disappointing, with little courtesy or professionalism.

Having a floor set aside for Salat was especially convenient during my Umrah. Durrat Mina Hotel is in the Alshesha area, and although it’s a bit old, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were polite and helpful, and a Pakistani restaurant right next door made meals easy. There’s no shuttle bus to Masjid al-Haram. Makkah bus service is a short walk away, and taxis are easy to find. Alhamdulillah, I had a good stay and think it’s a good option for Umrah pilgrims.

Aziziya is a good area to stay, with shops nearby and Bin dawood just around the corner. This is my favourite affordable hotel, and I’ve stayed here many times. The staff are kind and cooperative. Highly recommended.

The staff really made this stay for me. Everyone was attentive, professional, and kind, and they kept making me feel welcome with a genuine smile. It felt more like being with family than just staying at a hotel. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed, with everything I needed, and the amenities were top class. From the moment I arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. If you want luxury with a warm atmosphere, I’d highly recommend it. I can’t wait to come back. I’d give it more than five stars if I could!
