Le Meridien Makkah

My flight from Dammam to Jeddah was delayed on Jan 30th 2026, and I missed the Haramain train to Mecca. I was anxious about my Umrah plans, but choosing Lé Méridien for the night turned out to be a relief. At reception, Mr. Sam handled my booking, with proactive support from Mr. Mohammed Shafaath. Mr. Mohammed quickly got me a room after understanding that I needed to reach the Haram, Mecca’s holiest spot, as soon as possible. I had very limited time for Umrah and was due back in the Dammam region the next day. I managed to complete two Umrah rituals that evening and into the late night. The shuttle to and from the Haram helped, and the room was comfortable. I slept well thanks to the good shower, clean sheets, and ultra-comfortable bed. A hearty breakfast gave me energy the next morning, and I was able to spend a few more hours at the Haram. After returning to Lé Méridien, I had to hurry back to Jeddah after making the most of my time praying. The staff checked me out efficiently, called a cab, and had me on my way to the Haramain high speed railway station in under 20 minutes. For busy people balancing work, family, and spiritual commitments, I think Le Meridien is a good choice. It has great leadership, wonderful staff, and fabulous facilities at very reasonable prices. The hotel's prayer hall is useful if you run short on time to pray at Almasjid Alharam, since daily prayers held in the Almasjid Alharam can be performed there. It's about a 10-minute walk to Almasjid Alharam. Our February 23-25 stay in suite 1801 went smoothly from check-in through checkout. The receptionists recognized my membership, checked us in early, and upgraded our room. Thanks as well to bell boy Mr Burwanto. The restaurant team on floor 8 deserves thanks, especially Mr Hisham, the sohour restaurant manager, who did his best to meet my special requests. On floor 18, housekeepers Mr Hisham and Mr Sobuz kept the room very clean and fully supplied. Ms Farah at the guests relation desk also followed up with us. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for their attention and polite manner.

We booked a suite with a proper kitchen, including an electric kettle, fridge, and microwave. The rooms, washrooms, and kitchen were all very clean, and the rooms were comfortable. Staff were respectful and accommodating, and they even served complimentary tea and sweets. Room service was quick, and reception usually answered when we called. They made our Umrah journey incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended, and the best hotel, I must say.

The staff were amazing, helpful, and welcoming, and the location was perfect. I did run into two drawbacks: there was no parking area or basement parking, and breakfast was poor with very few options.
