Nama Mawaddah Hotel

We brought our family for Umrah and booked two separate rooms for January 2-4, 2025, hoping for somewhere restful. Instead, the stay was very poor, and we can’t recommend the hotel. We’ll look elsewhere next time. The hotel was much farther from the Haram than we expected, which meant long journeys and extra fatigue, especially after prayers. The rooms weren’t clean when we arrived, and housekeeping was either absent or inadequate. The rooms were left without cleaning or freshening up. Both rooms had flushing problems, which we reported on the first day. Nothing was repaired that day, and we were left waiting with no follow-up or clear timeline. Reception and hospitality staff weren’t helpful, and nobody seemed to take responsibility or care about the problem. Between the location and the lack of service, maintenance, and cleanliness, this wasn’t the supportive stay we needed for Umrah.

The hotel is about 3.5 KM from the Haram. Some car drivers charge 5 to 10 SAR to take you from the hotel to somewhere near the Haram.

We were worn out after the long journey with our family, and expected a clean, comfortable stay for our Umrah trip. Instead, the room had insects all over it, including bed bugs. Cleanliness should be a priority, especially in a holy place. When we raised it with hotel staff, they insisted the rooms had been cleaned and suggested we were mistaken. That response was frustrating and unhelpful. I hope management takes this seriously and improves hygiene and hospitality for future guests.

I found multiple cockroaches in my room, and I’m attaching photos and videos as proof. It even looked like I’d stumbled onto a cockroach wedding ceremony. I reported it both verbally and in writing, but the mostly non-Saudi staff were completely unresponsive. No room change, cleaning, or apology. One star for a disturbing and unacceptable stay. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, and I’ll forward my complaint to the Saudi tourism authorities.
