Razana Al Rowdah Hotel

The rooms could use some updating, and the Wi-Fi was poor. Still, the staff were good. Reception was warm and welcoming, and they tried to get us into a room as soon as they could. Room service and the rest of the hotel team were helpful when we needed things like plates or water. The hotel is large, vintage in style, and on the main road. A shuttle ran every 15 minutes, but getting to Al Gazza station took around 15 to 20 minutes. From there, Haram was about a 20-minute walk, so the station is a bit far from it. Service was good, though this isn’t a brand-new hotel.

The hotel is a good choice for families, even though it’s quite far from the Haram. The frequent shuttle service helps make up for that, and having it available around the clock was very convenient. We found the place clean and hygienic, and the reception team were friendly and helpful. Mr. Mansoor deserves a special mention for being so kind and humble with guests.

The bathroom was dirty, with mold, and the room wallpaper was poor. When I asked reception for help, they only did part of the job. The hotel looks medieval, and the photos on booking.com are deceptive. In my view, it’s nowhere near four stars, more like one star or a low-cost place. I also had a very bad experience with some elderly Turkish guests in the elevator. They acted wildly, had no patience, and seemed to have no empathy for other Umra travelers. I’d avoid this place at any cost.

The staff were all friendly and accommodating, and Super manager Mr muhammad noor hassan did a great job with the room service. We really appreciated his hospitality. We’ll come back soon, Inshallah.
