The room’s lack of privacy made a long stay especially uncomfortable. It faces other guest rooms, so I’ve kept the curtains shut the whole time to stop people looking in. That also means I’ve had almost no natural light. I asked to move, but was told the hotel was fully booked. The room feels more like a jail cell than a hotel room, with no proper view. I’m here for two weeks as a Marriott Gold Member, and the experience has fallen far below what I expected from Marriott. The bathroom had male shaving hair stuck to the shower wall when I arrived, which was unpleasant and made it seem like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The property also feels very dated, as if it hasn’t been renovated since the 1990s, and empty and neglected, almost like a ghost town. Service has been poor too. About a week and a half into my stay, I called housekeeping for water, waited 30 minutes, then had to call again. I’ve tried several times to arrange laundry, but nobody answers the phone and I haven’t been able to get help. That’s unacceptable for a two-week guest. The Sahoor was another letdown. I paid 150 SAR one morning for food that was clearly old and had very few choices. The quality and selection were shockingly poor for that price. Cleanliness, privacy, service, and food quality have all been disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and I hope management takes these problems seriously because the current standards are far below what guests should expect from Marriott.

The breakfast is varied, and most people should find something they like. Scrambled eggs are a must for Europeans 😉. It’s served in the restaurant at a fair price, about 90 SAR per person. What stood out most was the staff. Special thanks to the young man who looked after us. He wore traditional Arab clothing, answered all our questions patiently with a smile, and spoke perfect English, which isn’t very common in Saudi Arabia. They also let us extend checkout by up to two hours at no extra cost, something that isn’t always easy even at some Marriott hotels. It’s a well-equipped, decent hotel at a reasonable price, even if it’s not a Ritz. There’s a large free parking area in front. I can recommend it to tourists from Europe and elsewhere.

The shuttle to Masjid Nabawi was reliable and on time, so getting to prayers each day was easy. What I’ll remember most, though, is how warmly the team treated my family. I’ve stayed around the world as a Marriott Titanium member, but that genuine care stood out. Ayyaz from Guest Service patiently guided my elderly, disabled mother and helped her feel safe and respected. The front desk offered her an extra breakfast, a small gesture that meant a lot. Housekeeping was attentive and quick whenever we needed something. Abdullah, the breakfast chef, greeted us like family every morning, made my omelette warmly, and surprised my nephew with a colouring book. Those personal touches made the stay memorable and gave my family comfort and dignity. Le Méridien Medina will be my go-to hotel when I return to Medina. May Allah’s rahmah and blessings be upon the whole team. Jazakallahu khairan.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were supportive. The location was good too. I had a good stay, though breakfast needs significant improvement. More variety and better quality would make a real difference.

The complimentary coaster was punctual and made the trip to Masjid Nabawi simple. The hotel is about 8 minutes away, and the shuttle drops guests at 10B in the Haram basement, so the distance wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was another highlight: fresh omelets and pancakes, lots of fruit, and a great bakery selection. It officially runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, but the staff kindly looked after us even 30 minutes after closing. Room service is available 24 hours, and the staff stayed courteous and attentive at any hour. My room was clean, modern, and elegant, and the washroom amenities were especially impressive. As an Elite member, I was upgraded to a suite, which made the stay very comfortable. Thank you to Mr. Moatsem (RDM) and Mr Hussam (Dulty Manager) for the recognition and service. The hotel clearly values loyal guests. Le Méridien Medina felt calm and beautiful, and the staff treated me like family. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it for a visit to the holy city. Thanks for making my stay so comfortable.
