Marriott Madinah

I paid 220 SAR for a quadruple room and came away feeling it was a waste of money. The bathroom was dirty, and there weren't any towels. I also spent at least 20 minutes waiting just to get on the elevator. The woman at reception was so rude, I'd avoid dealing with her.

I was shocked by how dirty the hotel was. I’m here now, 10/12/2024, and paid 943 SAR / 393.70 Australian dollar for one night. I don't recommend it and will never book with them again. In Mecca I stayed at Hilton for six nights and paid less per night. The difference was huge.

The room itself was good, and the service was acceptable, but the bed wasn't clean and I got an allergy. The water boiler was dirty too, and the towels were old and rough. There's no breakfast buffet. I do want to thank the Egyptian guy who kept my handbag for almost five hours.

The room was tidy, the toilet immaculate, and there were plenty of towels and toiletries, all well stocked. Staff were welcoming and supportive, and the shuttle bus was mostly on time. It ran between the hotel and the intersection of Gate No. 6 and No. 7 of the Grand Mosque. Airport transfers would've been a nice extra, but otherwise it was an excellent stay.
