Almakan Suites 101

Please don’t book this kind of hotel. Booking.com should check it before sending people there. After they got the payment, the behaviour was very bad. The room smelled, wasn’t clean inside, and the aircon didn’t work. There were bed bugs too. I don’t know why the ministry of tourism hasn’t taken action against hotels like this. First time I’ve seen a hotel like this.

My taxi took me to 101 even though I had booked room 111. I still had a good stay, and left 15 SAR as a tip for whoever cleaned my room. They called to tell me they’d found the money. That was really honest of them.

I was left very disappointed and upset. The location given was wrong, at least 30 km from the real one, and there was no hotel at the address. Nobody answered the landline either. I hope they sort this out and take seriously the effort people make to book a place expecting a chance to rest, only to be caught up in this.

The Wi-Fi is borrowed from next door, and the bed frame in my room was broken, so I couldn't sleep on it. They tell you to inspect the room first, so make sure you check the bed before deciding to check in.
