We booked for 11 people through Booking.com. The location was good and the owner communicated with us, but the facility management was poor. During the Eid holidays, the price was heavily inflated, coming to more than 3K Riyals. We put some clothes in the washing machine, and water suddenly spilled into the lounge. It turned out the maintenance workers hadn’t connected the drain pipe, leaving water all over the place. There are only three bedrooms on the first floor, even though Booking.com accepted a booking for 11 people. We asked for an extra mattress, then had to run back and forth between reception and the maintenance team to sort it out.

The reservation agent quoted 700 SAR over the phone, then raised it to 800 SAR in the chat just 3-4 minutes later. When I questioned the change, he said the price would keep going up. That was an awful experience. If reservations are handled this way, I hope management reviews the process. Staff dealing with customers should get proper training in hospitality and manners, or not be put in those roles. May God bless their business.

Muhammad Samir and Wael Khafag looked after our group of 60 South Africans at the Araik Resort, and we were really impressed with their service and hospitality. We had an amazing stay and really enjoyed ourselves. We regularly bring groups for Umrah. This was our first visit to Taif, and we’ll be back soon, in sha Allah. Shabeer for Al Anwar Hajj & Umrah SA

The resort itself is okay, but the room facilities weren’t working. We struggled to get hot water in the bathtub because the heater was broken, and no towels were provided. The shower was useless and meshhy. Responses weren’t proper, and you should know Arabic here.

The rooms were excellent, and the rest of the stay was okay. But we didn’t get the room we had booked through booking.com. When we arrived, they gave us a different one from what had been described. They also didn’t provide water or towels.
