Sweet Land Hotel

The bathroom was the main drawback in our family suite. It was tiny, with the shower, sink and toilet all in one small room. A floor squeegee would help move shower water to the drain. After all five of us had showered, the floor stayed wet for a long time, which was unpleasant if someone got up during the night. In the master bedroom, the AC blew straight across the bed, leaving one side cold at night, though in May we still needed it running. Otherwise, we had a comfortable four-night stay as a family of five and would happily return to Umluj. We chose the Sweetland Hotel because its two-bedroom suite suited a family: it had a living room, small kitchenette and bathroom as well. The hotel kindly brought an extra mattress for our six-year-old at no extra charge. The second bedroom was spacious enough that they could probably fit a third bed there permanently. Staff were consistently helpful and promptly brought extra towels, sheets and pillows. The suite was cleaned daily, with beds made, floors hoovered, and the bathroom cleaned and mopped. Bottled water was provided each day, and the tea, coffee, kettle and small kitchenette appliances were handy with children. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the internet and smart TV worked well, with no complaints from the kids. Reception was clean and parking was easy.
