Fatboys Resort

This is about the Fatboy Dive dive centre at the resort. Our booking had been confirmed by email with the Dive Master (“S”), and I’d also flagged it on Instagram, but on December 31, 2025 we were left behind twice. We were ready at the agreed 9:15am pickup at our resort, and I have the emails to prove it. The boat collected other guests and skipped us. With help from our resort manager, I contacted “S” and was told they’d come back at midday. We waited, but they never came that time either. We lost a whole day of our trip because nobody followed through. I’d emailed my mobile number the night before and asked to be contacted if plans changed, so I’d done my part. This was seriously unreliable for a dive operator, and I wouldn’t recommend using this centre. We later went with Dive Gizo on Jan 2, and that was excellent, well organized, and better value.

The house over the water was simple, but really nice, and we spent a week there. We dived each day with an excellent team and enjoyed the dive sites. The food changed every day and was very good. We’d happily return.

The food was excellent, and the diving was a wonderful experience. The dives were lovely, and the team gave us outstanding, helpful service that really added to our enjoyment.

There’s lots to do here and nearby. We spent six nights, took a small boat out to uninhabited islands, and kayaked around our own island. Snorkelling was part of every day, with plenty to see, including Giant Clams, Clown and Lion fish just off the restaurant. The staff were excellent, and we really enjoyed the food. A week here is easy to recommend.
