Diguoise Guest House

We liked the location, the warm welcome, and the pleasant, traditional feel of La Diguoise's reception and lobby/restaurant. The guesthouse food was very tasty and typically seychelloise. Bikes are available, but you do have to pay for them. Bring euros if you can, since otherwise, as elsewhere, an untraceable charge may simply be added and you have no control over it. One difficulty is transport from the harbour if you haven't booked ahead. The guesthouse contact we were given didn't reply. Our stay was four nights. When we came back in the dark on the third day, our room had been emptied and our belongings moved into the room opposite, without anyone telling us. They'd even taken out the wardrobe. We were told the reorganisation had to start that day, though we were leaving the following day anyway and the new room needed renovation just as much as the old one. If moving us was urgent, they could have asked. Touching and moving all our things without permission was completely unacceptable. Elodie said she'd done it all herself, but didn't understand why it was a problem. She treated it as normal and said she meant no offence, with no real acknowledgment of our concern. That ruined our stay, and I wouldn't recommend La Diguoise. What a shame.
