Central Self Catering Apartments

We were there for a week and had a wonderful time. The beach was a two to three minute walk away, and we used the backyard shower to rinse sand off our feet after our daily visits. Anse Royale is one of the best beaches on Mahé, with diving and snorkelling, SUP boards and boats for rent nearby, and coral reefs to see underwater. Harmless crabs hide in holes in the sand during the day. Watching them dig or eat seaweed was pretty exciting and interesting. There are souvenir shops, groceries, takeaway places, a local fruit market and an ATM nearby. The apartment had everything we needed, including a fridge, kitchen appliances, stove, oven, toaster, kettle and AC. It was cleaned every day. The mattresses were a little hard for our taste, though that depends on preference. The main road can be noisy outside, but it quiets down around 10pm. The Royale self catering apartments team welcomed us with cold towels and helped with our luggage. David and Daniella offered advice on places to see and things to try on Mahé, and Daniella was always reachable on WhatsApp if anything came up. David and Daniela were so welcoming and hospitable, and even understood when our return travel plans changed at the last minute. We got better service than at a 4* hotel, with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. The apartment was great value and in a lovely location, with a fantastic host. The rooms were more spacious than the pictures suggested, and the kitchenware was almost new and in very good condition. We hadn't expected so much from the place. Book here and enjoy!

Daniella and David took such pride in their apartments and went out of their way to help us. The rooms were cleaned daily. We booked two rooms for five of us and had a wonderful stay with them as hosts.

We swam each morning at the beach across the road, and the setting was picturesque, with shops close by. For five days in early November 2022, we stayed as a couple and loved it. The owner helped us rent a car, which we used to reach the market for fresh fish and crabs. We baked them in the oven and they were absolutely delicious. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge, toaster, stove, waffle iron, microwave and assorted utensils, so we cooked breakfast and dinner every day. Daniela, the owner's wife, was pleasant and responsive. Their son helped with guests' comfort by carrying suitcases and tidying the area around the house, and a housekeeper cleaned the rooms. I highly recommend it!
