Green Palm Self Catering and Chalets

The location was a bad fit for exploring Seychelles. There was nothing to do within walking distance, and the nearby beaches were small, dirty, and stinky. This part of the island has practically no tourist infrastructure. Even with a car, the distance to most nice areas and the narrow, hilly, curvy roads would make exploring stressful. The property also messed up my car reservation, so I was left without transport. I ended up leaving after 3 days. I came halfway around the world to see the island, and this stay nearly destroyed my Seychelles dream. I was on a budget, but paying for a second hotel in Beau Vallon, which I highly recommend, was better than staying here. Inside the apartment, things were frustrating too. It was modern and decent, with a nice balcony, but the wifi was weak, spotty, and barely usable. The TV wasn’t hooked up to anything, with no channels, streaming, or internet, so I couldn’t cast my own device. About half the electrical appliances had the wrong plug and no adapters, making them useless. The nicer bedroom was locked when I arrived because I was a solo guest, and I was given the room with no view or balcony. I don’t understand that, though I did manage to get it switched. The property itself wasn’t very nice: you’re living in someone else’s home, with many pets and construction. I didn’t find the hosts welcoming or professional.
