The best parts were the view and the staff. Kereck, the manager, was superb, and the team were friendly, polite, attentive, and always tried to make sure we had a good stay. The setting is private and idyllic, up the side of a mountain, so you need a car. There’s a lovely poolside area for when you’re tired of the island’s beaches. With only a handful of rooms, the place feels homely and friendly. There are no staff at night, so you’re entrusted with the property yourself, which is quite cool and less like being in a hotel. The rooms are close together on the first floor, and you can hear people arriving, leaving, and talking outside. If you’re a light sleeper, that may disturb you, unless the other guests happen to be considerate. After 9am, housekeeping tidying other rooms can also wake you, so a lie-in may be hard. Better soundproofing or a tighter seal between the door and frame might help. Some of the linens had marks and stains from previous use, including the bedsheets and towels. For over 200euros per night, which is what I paid, I think new bedding and towels would make sense. I minded less about the sofa chairs, since I understand they’re going for an aged look. Despite these issues, the view and friendly staff probably make a stay worthwhile, and I hope they address the problems.

We didn’t have a car, but the manager kindly offered us a lift to the town below. From the balcony there’s a perfect panoramic view of Anse Royale and the island’s south east. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are lovely, and we had such a beautiful stay.

With only 5 rooms, the villa feels very private. Whenever we were at the pool, we had it to ourselves. The staff were probably the best part: such lovely people, always ready to help and accommodate any request. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with plenty of options, and we enjoyed eating there every day while taking in the breathtaking view from reception. The villa sits on a hill, and the drive up is very steep, so you definitely need a car. But it’s worth it. The rooms and the whole villa have a unique style that someone clearly put a lot of heart into. Everything was very clean, smelled fresh, and was polished to perfection. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I can’t wait to come back, definitely recommended.

From the mountain top, the view is vibrant, and the room has stylish interior design. The staff were super helpful, breakfast portions were huge, and the price was fair. There are lots of spots to sit in the garden, and the pool area is comfortable. I’d love to stay here again.
