Bliss Hotel Praslin

Getting transport arranged to La Digue Island made our trip hassle-free, and that was one of the many thoughtful touches during a wonderful stay at Bliss Praslin. At reception, Anisha was warm and efficient. Madam Laila was an angel throughout, always smiling, funny, and incredibly helpful. When the weather changed, she even brought us an umbrella. From arrival, everything ran so smoothly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Beautiful people and place, with memories we’ll treasure. Highly recommended!

We stayed three nights at Bliss Hotel, Mahé, and the treatment was shocking. On our last day, another water problem delayed checkout by only 30 minutes. At 10:15 a.m., when we were 15 minutes late, a staff member named Ella came to our room with a security person, spoke very rudely, demanded that we leave at once, and threatened an extra charge. We explained their water issue caused the delay, but were charged anyway. Water shortages happened frequently, and nobody answered our calls, so we had to keep walking to reception just to get water for the washroom. Complimentary water was provided only on the first day. After 5 p.m., staff refused basic help such as water or tissues. They were rude and unhelpful throughout. The layout is inconvenient, with reception on the beach side and rooms across the road. The beach was dirty and the property felt neglected. Management showed no concern and was completely unprofessional. Breakfast was limited and poor quality. Terrible hospitality, unclean facilities, and extremely disrespectful staff, especially Ella. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this property.

The staff were friendly, engaged, and gave excellent service, even though the hotel itself is somewhat worn and takes effort to keep in good condition. But the beach was a major drawback: a nearby river left the water grey and foul-smelling, so we couldn’t enjoy it. The New Year’s Eve buffet wasn’t worth the price they require guests to pay. We wouldn’t recommend the hotel to friends, since the polluted beach is too big a downside and the location isn’t one of the island’s best either.

We felt very well looked after, thanks to the staff, who were welcoming, attentive, and super friendly throughout. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, stylish, and comfortable. Its location is perfect, right beside a huge, clean beach, and just a five-minute drive from stunning Anse Georgette. We truly enjoyed every moment and highly recommend it.
