We only wanted to ask if there was a room available, but an old man and his larger local friend rudely refused us and escorted us out of Praslin Museum and their Guest House. We had been looking at the turtle and vampire on the backyard path leading to the main road. We offered to pay an entry fee if there was one because we also wanted to see Praslin Museum, but the old man just kept saying “NO, NO, NO.” I’m not sure what was going on, but the whole thing seemed at least a little suspicious.

We were there for our honeymoon, and the room was really comfortable. The owner, Steve, and his family were so accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, and the homemade lemongrass iced tea in the afternoon was divine.
