Sea Splash & La Petite Maison

We had a lovely time snorkeling off the beach to the left, and a turtle even joined us. The accommodation was gorgeous, with a warm welcome, beautiful rooms and bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. I wish we could have stayed longer in this beautiful paradise.

The view and service were great, and the area is very quiet. You need a car to get around. Try their homemade Creole cuisine, it costs 30€ per person. We were in a ground-level apartment and noisy upstairs neighbors could be disturbing because the sound insulation isn’t great.

We were on the first floor, in Seasplash, with a sea-facing balcony that felt like an extension of the porch. It had furnished seating and a dining table, and we spent a lot of time there enjoying the water and the steady sound of the sea breeze. The rooms included a bedroom, kitchen, extra bed, and study room, with wide beds and sofas and a spacious bathroom. The staff were friendly and easy to approach, and the service was great. We loved dinner, especially the fish with Creole curry, rice, and salad. The generous European breakfast buffet was delivered to our room right on time. There was plenty of drinking water, complimentary juices on arrival, and a complete kitchen with all the utensils and cutlery we needed. Parking was good, and there was a bus stop across the road. We loved the stay and the view.

There isn’t much to do right around the house, which made the stay feel laid back and relaxing. A bus stop is just outside, but I’d recommend renting a car to see more of Praslin. There’s a lot to explore, and the buses aren’t very comfortable. We snorkeled by the little rock island just offshore and saw a large sea turtle along with plenty of fish species. It was one of the best snorkeling experiences of our trip. The spacious, stylish apartment was very clean, and we slept well in the large bed with its good-quality bedding. The staff took great care of us from the moment we arrived and made us feel welcome. We’d heard the 30 € dinner was good, so we tried it our first night. The crew brought it to our apartment and served it with a smile, with a lovely sea view. The tuna belly was extremely tasty, and the banana fritter dessert was delicious. We enjoyed it so much we ordered dinner the next three evenings too, and were never disappointed. The fish dishes were so good. If we return to Praslin, we’d certainly consider staying here again for the friendly service and food.
