Ronnie looked after us like family, and was the nicest host I’ve met. He made little thoughtful efforts that kept us comfortable, like turning on the AC and tidying our room and changing the towels while we were out walking. You don’t expect that in a self-catering villa. Ronnie, you were a lovely “Grand Ma” host. The cozy space has a fully functioning kitchen with an oven, fridge and gas stove. It’s tucked away in the north of the island, within walking distance of famous Anse Lazio. The bus stop is only a short walk away, and Cote D’Or is about a 10-minute drive.

I caught an amazing smell from a dish while walking past, so I came back later that day. I was very glad I did: the hosts, who were polite and kind, had made a true Creole Sesel fish curry. Next time I’m in Praslin, I’d love to stay at the guest house and eat what’s been the best food I’ve come across in the Seychelles so far.

Ronnie was such a thoughtful host, even giving us a parrot fish for dinner. He was fantastic and always around when we needed him. We had a wonderful stay.
