We stayed over Christmas and New Year’s Eve 25. If you’re paying almost 500 bucks per night and the GM has to show you where to buy water when you run out, something’s clearly wrong :))) My friends were put in the other location across the street. They had roaches and lizards in their room, and the bathroom smelled disgusting. I couldn’t get even one smile from the staff in the morning. They always had the same upset look when you asked for something, even though breakfast was included. It was the worst breakfast I’ve had in my life, at this hotel and in Praslin. Honestly, Praslin felt like an island of scammers, with everyone trying to sell you a coconut for 50 bucks :). The food around the island was generally poor too. If you’re planning a holiday here, try the big resorts and avoid doing business with locals. There’s nothing here. Whenever I asked the GM for something, he’d say, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” about this or that. I guess they’re trained to say it, because I don’t think he or the staff will actually improve anything. I’d say sorry too and charge people 500 bucks a day, you know? :) Nice business.

The location is top notch, and the hotel was amazing. Nurhayati was especially helpful, from the time we booked until we left. She’s very kind and went out of her way for us, even finding excursions at a better rate than I’d found online. Kudos to her. We had a great time and would love to visit again.

We booked through Booking, then realized the hotel was on an island we weren’t going to visit and asked for a refund. Booking confirmed that our cancellation was free, but the hotel still hasn’t returned our money. It’s more than 2,000 dollars, and the hotel won’t communicate with us. We’re now appealing to international organizations to uphold our rights. Beware of this hotel. I warn everyone against it.

We were impressed by how kind the staff were. They welcomed us with smiles and very professional service throughout our stay. The spa is well worth trying for an even more relaxing experience. The hotel is right on the beach, in an area with all the facilities available. There are sunbeds for guests, great for sunbathing by day and stargazing at night. We spent a week here for our honeymoon and loved the location. Our room didn’t have mosquito nets on the windows, so a few insects got inside now and then. There weren’t many, though, as staff regularly treat the surrounding green areas.
