Bålsta Apartment Hotel

After 5 p.m. there’s no staff around, so if something breaks, you’re left to deal with it yourself. The door lock is a mess, and the rooms are dim because there isn’t enough lighting. At weekends, drunk workers party outside with loud music, drinking, and smoking. Some also smoke in their rooms at night, setting off alarms and bringing the fire brigade. Everyone gets woken up and has to wait outside in the cold. Unfortunately, the place is full of drunk workers. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel’s main entrance lock is broken, so you have to get someone inside to open the door or you can’t get in. There’s no service staff on site, and the service number posted at the entrance goes unanswered on weekends. In the past two weeks, the fire brigade has had to come out several times because someone was smoking in a room. The issue was reported to the hotel administration some time ago, but nothing has been done.

The TV relies on the internet, so when the connection drops there’s no TV either. The internet is usually very slow, around 7Mb/1Mb, and sometimes doesn’t work at all. When I booked, I was assured it was very good.

The rooms are getting colder, and the window doesn’t shut properly. We have to use the oven to heat the room, which costs more than simply turning on the heating.
