I was here for work for 11 nights in a Superior twin bed room, so I couldn't make it to every coffee and food service. Still, I had a very good stay, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. There's a small "fitness room" with a few dumbbells and two treadmills. Remember to request room cleaning separately, since it isn't done automatically during your stay. Check-in was easy, the room was accessible, and the lights all worked. It had fast Wi-Fi, a kettle, toiletries, towels, a shower, a high-quality mattress, electronic locks, and a TV. No room service, fridge, or bathtub. The carpeted room was quiet, with a noise level of 1 out of 10 on the river side of the third floor. At 1195 SEK a night, I thought the value was good.

The staff really did their best to make our stay nice. We arrived late for dinner, but they saved food for us and left the restaurant at our disposal. With kids along, having both breakfast and an evening meal included saved us time and energy for other things to do. The rooms were the nicest I've experienced at this price. Breakfast was fresh and pleasant, and the hotel is a short walk from the city center and its shops and other necessities. Nearby there are a couple of nice museums, a big playground, parks and lovely waterside scenery just outside the hotel. Right next door is a fairly large indoor swimming pool with regular swimming, a slide, a pool cinema where you can watch a film or two, and a large aquarium with fish. The water is warmer than in a traditional swimming pool. A really great hotel for anyone visiting Eskilstuna for any reason.

We stayed one night in May 2024, in a room on the top floor with a nice view over the Eskilstuna waterways. The hotel was quite run down, and cleaning had been poor: there were layers of dust and belongings left by previous guests. Breakfast and dinner are included in the Clarion concept, but the food was mediocre, like Swedish industrial food. The reception staff in particular tried hard to help with everything. The hotel was undergoing a much-needed renovation then, so we'll have to see whether that improves the poor value for money.

At breakfast the next morning, we arrived at 09:15 and politely asked a staff member for some fruit. She said breakfast ended at 09:00 and there was nothing she could do. When we explained that nobody at the front desk had told us the closing time, she blamed us and said we should have worked it out ourselves. The spa had also been closed during our booked stay, with no mention of that anywhere online. I've never stayed somewhere with worse communication. How can Clarion support this kind of customer service? The staff are treated as king, not the client. We won't return.
