Rosenlund - Hostel

Really disgusting conditions. There was mold in the coffee maker and fridge, and the microwave was greasy and full of old food scraps. The dish brush and sponge, which should've been white, were yellow, brown, and black with old food and grease. They didn't look like they'd been replaced in a long time. The bedding and pillows had yellow stains too. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Everything felt neglected. The fridge and freezer were just as shabby, the sink was full of mold, and there was mold in the coffee maker too. The microwave had a layer of old food, and the bedding was marked with brown and yellow stains. I want to warn people away from staying here, since I think you could get sick after stepping inside.

The kitchen was fresh and there was a TV room. Our room was quite okay, and the bed had been made when we arrived. It's a nice hostel within walking distance of the station, and very responsive. One odd thing: two of the three toilets have to be locked if you want to shower in peace, so people can't use those toilets then. The owner can't really change that, though. We were just greeted by a key in the door and didn't see any staff during the stay, which felt a bit dull. Still, it's worth a stop if you're passing through Fagersta. There's a very nice pizzeria nearby, and the harbor area is close too, with a tavern and well-preserved cultural monuments.

Everything was neat and tidy. It felt a little cold, maybe because of the rain. A small bench in the family shower would be useful.
