The food and hospitality at Skoogs make the evening feel special, and the service was amazing from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere has just the right mountain feel. We tried the pizzas and steak tartar. The tartar was delicious and nicely balanced, with ingredients that seemed top quality. The pizzas were incredible, with great toppings and a perfect crust, some of the best in the region. Desserts were rich and tasty. I only wished the portions were bigger because I wanted more of those flavors. Even the toilets were pleasant, with a nice smell and 3 ply TP. It's a cozy place for a loo stop before or after a meal, or even if you aren't eating. If you're in Funäsdalen, Skoogs is well worth a visit.

The waiter was lovely and very welcoming, and the service was great. The food was mixed: the burger was good, but unfortunately the 500 gm dry-aged steak was a bit dry and below expectations.

The raspberry dessert was just the right size, light but full of flavor. We also loved the cozy feel of this little restaurant. I went for the kale pizza, which sounded unusual, but tasted amazing. It was different each of the two times we visited, and both versions were good in their own way.

That dry-aged pork chop was one of the best cuts of meat I’ve had, especially with its incredibly flavorful fat cap and sides that worked perfectly with it. We also loved the reindeer pizza, a new favorite for me after plenty of pizzas. Earlier, we shared sourdough, charcuterie, and steak tartare with pickled vegetables. The bread was excellent, and the tartare was beautifully done and delicious with the vegetables. We had a fantastic evening at Skoog in Funäsdalen. We were driving, so didn’t try the drinks, though the alcoholic selection looked great. The deli was a pleasant surprise, too, with quality products. We took home a jar of cloudberry jam.
