Comfort Hotel Goteborg

I had a very positive stay. Weekend breakfast requires booking a time slot, but nobody really checks, so it feels like an unnecessary step. Also, rooms are cleaned every fourth day, which isn’t an issue in itself, but the floors get quite dusty. An extra floor cleaning round might help.

The staff were very kind, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the room was clean when I got it. Breakfast was nice, although the restaurant gets too crowded. The room also wasn’t warm enough at night, perhaps because the central heating hadn’t been turned on yet. This was at the end of September in Sweden. There’s no daily room cleaning or tidying, just once every four days. You also have to ask for towels and toilet paper yourself, which doesn’t feel right for a four-star hotel. Not a bad stay, but quite a moderate one.

Rebecca at reception was so kind to me. Since I was only there for one night, she gave me a room with the best view I’ve ever had. Thank you, Rebecca 🥰 The room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. There are plenty of elevators, so I never had to wait to get to my room. The train station is a 10-minute walk away. It was my first time in Göteborg, and I had the best stay at Comfort hotel. I’ll definitely come back. Grazie from Italy 🇮🇹 ❤️

Location is the strongest point at Comfort. The room was smaller for the same price, and cleaning is only every fourth day, so nobody came to clean during my stay. At Scandic Europa, they cleaned every day or every second day at no extra cost. I tried both hotels at the same price, and I think Scandic Europa offers more for your money. It has more breakfast choices, more fruit and better quality food, and it isn’t as crowded.
