Le Mat B&B Göteborg City

This felt like a great deal. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and really comfortable. Breakfast was included and better than I expected, and the location was convenient. I’d definitely stay again.

The rooms are roomy, with views of the city or park, and twin or double beds. There’s a small sink with hand soap, and guests get one bath towel and one hand towel each. The TV didn’t work, and there was no kettle. Most rooms share two bathrooms, which were always clean, with walk-in showers and soap containing sodium laurel sulfate. Breakfast was hearty: coffee, several teas including chai and rhubarb and vanilla, though no black tea, plus my favorite pourable passion fruit vanilla yogurt, hard-cooked eggs, bread, jams, Nutella®, two meats, cheese, and apples. It felt safe and had adequate security. The B&B is central, within walking distance of many attractions and near the bus, tram, and Centralstation. It’s on the fourth floor, with breakfast on the fifth. The building’s front door uses fob entry, and each floor requires a fob when the attendant isn’t in the office.

Le Mat B&B was good value, with a great location, friendly staff, and a simple but good breakfast. I had a lovely one-night stay.

The staff are cosy and service-minded, and there’s a locker room for storing bags if you need one. It’s a good-value B&B, especially for my business trip. Breakfast is simple, so you can get on with the day. Nothing fancy, but I’d recommend it!
