First Camp Hagön Halmstad

The camper area in the middle seemed fairly quiet. If you do have to stay here, try to avoid the area around the big playground. It's crowded and noisy even after 11 pm, and the local Swedes don't seem to consider the other guests.

The surroundings are lovely, and the beach is beautiful, but there weren't enough staff to handle bookings and requests. Staff seemed untrained and unmotivated, gave us incorrect information and confusing messages, and left out important details in other cases. There were several of us, but we had to share a keycard for the showers and toilets because there weren't enough cards.

The campsite has plenty of activities, including golf and shows for kids, if you're planning a longer stay. There's a good kitchen, though no fridge, and an indoor dining area. It's close to a very nice, quiet beach and fairly inexpensive if you're camping in a tent. In summer it gets overcrowded. The showers and toilets are fine, but don't expect them to be in top condition.

The kids liked the playground, and the staff were nice. Our cabin was small but okay. People partied really hard and loudly, though. My kids woke up several times when someone used an air horn, played loud music, and shouted near midnight.
