Halmstad Hotel Apartments

The place isn’t new, but the price is good. I arrived earlier than planned and still got my room on time. The room suited me, with blinds that kept the light out so I could sleep well, a shower with towels, a TV with lots of channels, and a small kitchenette. There’s also a huge parking area.

I’ve stayed here many times. There are washing machines and dryers, and it’s a decent hotel for tourists. The rooms are clean and good in both buildings, but where you book matters. Building 1, where the reception is, has quiet rooms and properly working ventilation. In building N2, the left half has a humming noise day and night, perhaps from an air ventilator or a roof turbine, and the ventilation doesn’t work properly, supplying air into the room. Wi-Fi is good in building N1 but weak in N2. I’d choose building N1, or the right half of building N2.

We waited 20 minutes for someone to greet us at reception, then decided to book another hotel. The service was absolutely horrible. Even the cleaners and kitchen staff couldn’t get hold of the receptionist.

For such a cheap place, it’s still worth it, and the smart TV with Netflix is great. The room is clean and simple, with clean beds and towels. The wardrobe has hangers but no shelves. One silly thing is that they give you an old, used cloth and sponge worth 0.5 USD. Four stars from me.
