My elderly mother and I arrived by taxi late at night, but the access code the hotel had sent wouldn't work. We tried it over and over, then called reception repeatedly, with no answer. We were left outside, and it felt stressful and unsafe. We ended up taking another taxi in the middle of the night to find somewhere else, which was costly and exhausting for my mother. I contacted the hotel afterwards to ask for a refund. They initially said by phone that it would be processed, so I waited. A month went by with no update or progress. When I called again, a female receptionist said she couldn't handle it and told me to ring the next day. I did, but nobody answered. It made me feel that the hotel was deliberately avoiding my calls and holding up the refund. Being unable to enter because of a faulty code, having no night support, and getting an unfulfilled refund promise with evasive communication all showed a complete lack of professionalism and service awareness. Smooth check-in and timely help when something goes wrong are basic expectations, and this hotel failed at both. The experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I'll never recommend it.
