The elevators smelled of alcohol, and there were drunk people around. We won't be coming back. We arrived around 9 pm and were put in a "compact room," though we'd booked and paid for a deluxe room with a sea view and balcony. When I went back to the front desk, it was clear the room type we booked was already occupied. After waiting there for 30 minutes, the only offer was a small upgrade. The hotel offered no other compensation or refund.

We paid about 800Skr. more than at other hotels of the same standard because we wanted the pool. When we arrived, they told us it had already been closed for some time and would stay that way during our visit. The rooftopbar and restaurant were unavailable too. They really need to update their website. If you don't need a pool, you could choose another hotel. If you do want one, good luck!!

The location is perfect, near bars, restaurants, and the central station. We loved the hotel, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. But the website doesn't say that pool use costs extra on top of the stay. We paid extra for a late checkout so we could use the pool, and also paid the pool fee, but it was closed all day. So we paid for late checkout for nothing.

Our room was huge, nicely styled, and spotless, and breakfast was outstanding, with lots of fresh, healthy choices. We also felt at ease right away thanks to the warm, friendly welcome. The Clarion Hotel in Helsingborg sits right by the wharf, a perfect location. Highly recommended for a visit to Helsingborg!

Really nice hotel in a good location, with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. There's parking nearby, free overnight.
