First Camp Råå Vallar Helsingborg

My dog has been vomiting and had diarrhea for three days, and still seems very ill. I called before we arrived to check whether I could bring my dog. During our stay, ant poison had been scattered around the houses. I believe this is against the law. It should be put in closed bait stations instead of left scattered around, which makes this place dangerous for animals. I spent my vacation worrying about my dog, and it was ruined. The people who spread the poison that way should be punished.

The staff at the camp were really nice, and it wasn’t too loud. There seemed to be lots for families to do, including a pool, and there’s a nice kitchen guests can use. It was also not too expensive for an overnight parking spot with a shower. They even let me charge my power bank for free at reception. The bathroom setup was the part I didn’t like. There were showers but no sink there, only in the toilet, so brushing your teeth means going into the toilet. There also weren’t enough hooks by the big mirror, so I had to hold my things.

The pool was lovely on a warm day, and the bistro has straightforward food like pizza or burgers with fries. We stayed in a Jessi Lodge, which was comfortable and worked well for kids. It’s on the small side, but the layout makes good use of the space. A good fit for families with younger children. The WiFi was extremely weak, basically unusable.

It’s a nice spot for a trip with kids, with a trampoline, a kids’ pool and daily entertainment. There’s also mini golf, bike cars to rent for children, and a bistro with food that was quite okay. We rented a small cabin for one night. It had electricity but no water, so we used the shared water, shower and toilet facilities. At around 1000dkk, I thought it was a bit overpriced when a tent spot was about 500dkk. The location is nice, but not quiet at all, with kids shouting in the evening and seagulls early in the morning. Otherwise, it’s an okay place.
