Hindåsgården Hotel & Spa

I only stayed here because my flight was cancelled and KLM booked me into one of its preferred hotels. The Google photos had made me expect somewhere lovely. When I arrived at 20:13, three reception staff quickly gave me my key and explained dinner, breakfast and checkout. Dinner was all right, I had a hamburger and fries. I missed breakfast, so can’t comment on it, but the staff kindly offered lunch instead as part of my booking. That meal was very nice: I had salad from the bar and fish with potatoes from the buffet. I’d also forgotten my charger adaptor, and they let me use one of theirs. There’s very little around the hotel for miles. It works if you’re happy to stay on site, but if you want to go out, expect to pay for taxis. I’d recommend it for the accommodating, friendly staff, though I wasn’t keen on the surrounding area or the hotel decor.

The photos aren’t true to the place, and the Hotel Managerin was unpleasant. When we asked about the room, she responded aggressively and unprofessionally. A room listed for two beds actually has one bed and one couch. They say to notify the property ahead of time if you’ll arrive outside the check-in and check-out hours. Late arrival requests need confirmation, and they add 250 SEK per room to the rate. Check-in after 10:00 PM isn’t possible. Never again!!!

The staff were really friendly, the rooms clean and the food good. I also had a great time using the gym, pool and spa. I’ll definitely stay here again.

I found it beautiful and peaceful here. There are paths through the woods for walking, jogging and skiing, and the hotel was clean with friendly staff. The food was excellent.
