The breakfast was a favorite, with a huge buffet selection as well as à la carte choices. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable, while the hotel itself was quiet and stylishly decorated. Reception and housekeeping were attentive and friendly, and the bar has magnificent decor. I can’t think of anything more I’d want from a stay. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back next year. Thanks from Belgium!

We loved the hotel’s whole vibe: Swedish simplicity with a little touch of glamour, and thoughtful, distinctive decor throughout. The staff were friendly and accommodating at every level, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Snow made the streets feel especially magical during the holiday season, too. It’s also a handy base for getting around Stockholm. We’d gladly come back.

Rival’s bar is a real pleasure, with a welcoming atmosphere, unpretentious elegance, and a thoughtfully chosen drinks list. Across the venue, the staff are attentive, professional, and efficient, and I felt at ease right away. Set in the heart of Södermalm, this hotel, theater, and bar brings together Art Deco glamour and Scandinavian minimalism. For anyone who values good service and a superb setting, Hotel Rival is a standout Stockholm destination, with a subtle nod to its iconic owner from the legendary band ABBA.

We were traveling with a baby, and the staff were understanding and accommodating as we managed meals in the lounge and restaurant and ate breakfast. The warm welcome meant a lot, and our host also gave us useful ideas for things to do around Stockholm. We plan to stay again. Happy New Year!

We were especially glad for the late noon checkout, which left time for a brisk walk before breakfast. Everything else went smoothly too, from booking and check-in to the room and food. The service was great throughout, and we really enjoyed Hotel Rival. We’ll be back.
