I've stayed at this hotel many times, and the basic room is usually small but charming. This time it barely got any daylight, even in the middle of the day, because its view was just a white wall. There was also a sewage smell in the bathroom. At 4 p.m. reception said no other rooms were available, but offered me an expensive upgrade. Paying 240 euros a night for what felt like a basement room isn't worth it.

The hotel, restaurant and bar teams were all friendly and helpful, and we got to enjoy the whole place, from the food and cocktails to the partying. We came to Stockholm for a snowy winter weekend, mainly for the Agnes gig at the Berns venue, and also enjoyed the city's food, drinks and nature. The blonde woman at reception was lovely when she checked us in and out. I wish I'd caught her name. Thanks for the help and the chat about Swedish icon Robyn. We also shared feedback about one member of the security team. The hotel received it professionally and with empathy, and I trust they'll look into it. It didn't change our positive experience or review. Tack så mycket!

The room was small, but cosy and had everything we needed. You're close to the water, cafes, restaurants, shops and public transport. The Asian restaurant is gorgeous, with beautiful decor and huge chandeliers. The food was lovely, though pricey. Breakfast was nice, with a good range: cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, different breads, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and sausages. It was brewed coffee only, with no cappuccino. The place itself is gorgeous 😍.

The staff were so personable and helpful. The reservation team were always smiling and checking if I needed anything, and helped arrange my transport, including a taxi from the airport. At breakfast, the woman serving ginger shots was really kind. Isabella "Izzy" was also wonderful. She was juggling a lot but stayed cheerful, and gave me some great suggestions for places to go. I'd rate her 10 out of 10. One of the men working at breakfast kindly wrote down a few places for me too.

I was at a Bunt concert at Berns with my friend for my birthday. Security picked him at random and took him to the back, saying he was too drunk, which he wasn't. I didn't know where he'd gone at first. When I found out, I went over and politely asked why they'd taken him back there. Security started escalating things, grabbing my arm. I didn't understand why their aggression had suddenly turned toward me, though I assume being tall, dark haired and working out made them see me as a threat. Another guard joined, and I thought maybe I could talk to him calmly. Instead, he went straight to violence. They pushed and grabbed me down to the basement to wait for police. They kept yelling that I was resisting. I was scared of being beaten and didn't retaliate. The police charged me with violent resistance, but the case was dismissed a month later. I know they weren't acting within their rights, and they used unnecessary force. Luckily, my friend managed to film some of what they did. I'm writing this as an extension of my friend's review, since he got the usual response that they'd raise it with the right team to prevent it happening again. We both know nothing will come of that. What a way to spend my birthday. If you've read this far, think twice about going to the Berns nightclub. They frankly don't care about you. The bad reviews seem to mostly describe security guards acting like wannabe police on a power trip, while Berns does nothing. I wasn't staying at the hotel, so can't speak to that, but I wouldn't recommend the club.
