Hotel Kullaberg

The people who’ve taken over have created a tremendous atmosphere, and Moa is fantastic. We loved the excellent food, the charming bedroom, the very comfortable bed and the sea view. We just love this place. Truly a real gem!

The owners and staff were lovely, and my wife and I were looked after so well. We had a great dinner, enjoyed the wine selection, and there’s an elevator to the rooms.

The beds were comfortable, the shower was super hot with great pressure, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was very good too. Don’t miss their scrimp mountain for lunch. This small seaside hotel has a lot of history and charm. It’s a bit old, but very nicely done. Friends stayed at the Grand Hotel Mölle, and this one seemed like the much better choice. The rooms and common areas could use a bit of tightening up, though. Do that, and the hotel would be a pearl.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are better places to stay in the area, and the customer service was extremely poor. We were happy with our room until around midnight on Friday, when a loud, high-pitched whining started coming from the pipes in the walls. It kept us from sleeping. I went downstairs to reception, but no one was there, which I understand. The room information listed a “24 hour” number, but nobody answered, and the voicemail just said reception was closed. We had a very bad night’s sleep. This was a special weekend because we got engaged on Saturday, which makes what happened even more disappointing. The next day I told the staff, and they tried to find us another room, but only twin rooms were left and we didn’t want one. I suggested another kind of compensation for the awful night, since they admitted their night reception phone system hadn’t worked and nobody was available to help overnight. I asked whether they could cover some wine or part of our restaurant meal. At checkout, though, we paid in full for both the meal and champagne. There was no shampoo or conditioner in our room either. I asked twice and was handed only a large industrial bottle of shampoo. We love Möllan, and we’re sad that my girlfriend’s special-occasion booking ended up being a negative experience.
