⚠️ I’d strongly advise against booking this hotel through Booking.com. The Pernilla Wiberg Hotel in Idrefjäll told me directly that changing the booking would have been possible without any problem. But Booking.com gave me no help and didn’t communicate with the hotel. As a result, the booking couldn’t be changed even though the hotel was willing to help. Booking.com just pointed to its automated cancellation policies. If you’re planning to stay here, book directly with the hotel. Otherwise, if something goes wrong, you’re left completely on your own. The hotel is in a nice location, and it’s fun to see the friendly reindeer and Pernilla’s prizes, including her olympic medals and World Cups. Apart from that, it was an overpriced and terrible stay. The IKEA furnished rooms felt like a youth hostel, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. The shower had low water pressure too. Breakfast was the worst part: a joke, especially during corona times, with a huge crowd and an open buffet. The food was the cheapest quality, presumably from local ICA, and one woman had to manage breakfast for more than 50 hotel guests. It was chaos. Never again.

The hall, restaurant and other shared spaces have a modern look and sophisticated architecture. The hotel is very nice, though the rooms could be better.

The service is good, and the fantastic nature views make this a great place if you’re here to ski. The only downside is how expensive it is.
