Hotell Kallgarden

We stayed there last July, two adults and three children sharing a room. The staff were warm and friendly, the food and breakfast were delicious, and the view was amazing. It felt like a fairytale setting. We only got one night because the hotel was fully booked, and I wish we could have stayed longer.

The people there were welcoming and attentive, and even gave us a map to keep as a souvenir after suggesting places worth seeing in the region. Everything was clean, including the premises, and the warm homemade buns at breakfast were delicious. Breakfast itself was excellent, a simple standard Swedish spread done really well. Dinner was a huge, mouthwatering three-course meal for two, priced at 800 sek. Even if you aren't staying overnight, I'd suggest eating here. It reminded me of Elite Hotels Sweden quality, but at a lower price. Our one-night stay also showed how good the service and cleanliness were. Hotell Kallgården is absolutely worth a stay if you're in the region. Keep it up!

We were after somewhere cosy where we could get a feel for the region, and Hotell Kallgården suited us perfectly. The view over the village and the surrounding nature from our room and the restaurant was wonderful. We also enjoyed the local food, and there was a sauna available. The owners and staff gave us a lovely welcome. Taking the small detour off the main road near Åre was well worth it.

We stayed with our baby son and left with a better impression than we'd expected. The hotel was in good shape, with clean rooms, very comfortable beds, and signs of a recent renovation. The couple running it were exceptionally kind and looked after our needs and wishes. Dinner was high quality and made with local food, and breakfast was cosy too. It's a great value stay in the cosy village of Kall.
