Bo Hotel

After our bowling session next door, we went to the restaurant for an after-work meal. The atmosphere was nice, and my Boston grill double cheeseburger tasted good. The dessert could have used more sauce.

Reception and breakfast service were great, and the price seemed reasonable. Our room was spacious and neat. We slept well, though the busy road right beside the hotel and the nightclub downstairs could bother some people. A good place to stay if you're going to a concert at Tele2 arena or Avicii arena.

The sleep box itself was a fun, cozy experience, and the price was good. It ran a little warm, but ventilation was decent. The mattress was long enough to stretch out on and a bit firm; there was room for carry-on sized bags, and the thick walls kept things pretty quiet. Five boxes share two very nice private showers and three toilet stalls. We never found them crowded, and they were mostly clean. The bar idea sounded great, but the food took a very long time even though it tasted good. Nobody asked if I wanted another beer, and by the time the food arrived we had to leave for our event. They didn’t seem very interested in us or in serving late-night fries and drinks. I expected more from having a bar just a few steps away. The staff were friendly, but not very helpful, so I’d say this suits experienced travelers best. Parking was another problem. The underground garage is locked from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., but apparently the Bo didn’t know and there’s no night staff to help. We said we’d be leaving at 4 a.m., and they still suggested the garage. A short welcome sheet could explain parking, nearby food options, especially breakfast, and how the bar relates to the sleep boxes. More specific information at check-in would help, too.

The staff were friendly and polite, even after there was a mistake and I got charged twice for my room. Staying in the sleep boxes was an interesting experience, but it wasn’t very convenient. They’re behind the restaurant bathrooms, so you hear people going in, and it can feel like you’ve been forgotten. On big game nights, with only a glass door between the boxes and the restaurant, getting real sleep isn’t possible. Mediocre overall, and I wouldn’t recommend staying more than one night just to try the capsule.
